The Junkies Stole The Clock was originally produced by Joseph Papp at the New York’s Public Theatre in April,1974, as a two-act play. The story follows a group of South Bronx youth as they explore the world of serious intravenous drug use during the late 1960’s. This new adaptation presents a collection of scenes centering on the drug-dependent relationship of the two young lovers, CANDI & POLI, who find themselves at a crossroads between co-dependency on “Scag” a street drug, and the possibility of a life with love.
