 Your donation allows us to:

-Provide free and affordable venue and residency space to artists, independent producers, and small arts organizations;

-Host convening space for community and rehearsals;

-Co-produce multiple free or deeply accessible annual festivals and community events;

-Co-create and co-present workshops for multi-generational publics;

-Commission exciting multi-disciplinary work by Puerto Rican, Latinx, POC artists;

-Steward our 120 year old historic city-owned building and add needed renovations to bring it up to code

The Clemente is an epicenter of affordable opportunities for artists, creatives, and audiences of Latinx and diverse cultural backgrounds in our community of the Lower East Side/Loisaida. Home to an ensemble of four theaters, 42 visual art studio spaces, 13 nonprofit arts organizations, rehearsal, exhibition and performance spaces that nurture and exhibit the visual arts, music, dance, film/video & poetry, The Clemente provides meaningful support to thousands of artists, and tens of thousands of audiences annually.
