PSOS21: Public Spaces Open Studios

Dates: January 28th- February 28th, 2021

Location: The surrounding fence of The Clemente at 107 Suffolk Street

On the occasion of the Open Studios 2021, January 28 through January 31, The Clemente’s Artist Residents presented PSOS21, an installation of banners featuring residents’ work wrapping the fence that surrounds the building. The Clemente, a former public school designed by Charles B. J. Snyder, is now home to more than 60 artists and 10 arts organizations. This public work serves to bring the residents’ studios outside to the community.

PSOS21 will be on view through the end of February. Make sure to take a stroll by The Clemente at 107 Suffolk Street to see the work for yourself. You can also watch a Tour of PSOS21 and hear directly from Clemente Residents by Lisa Lebofsky, Flavia Souza, Laura Nova and Melanie Vote here: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CKrO2hiAtFe/?igshid=so3cbtnuu7ct.

A big thank you to the installation team: Silvio de la Cruz, Steve Mumford, Flavia Souza, Mitchell Torres, Jodi Waynberg, Alan Hansen, and Danny Rodriguez.
