Partnering with HUE Arts
Hue Arts NYC is a first of its kind, city-wide effort to increase the visibility, recognition of, and support for NYC arts entities founded and led by Black, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and other People of Color from NYC’s elected officials, policymakers, philanthropic, and community leaders.
Hue Arts NYC documents and celebrates the resilience and resourcefulness of Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and all people of color arts entities in New York City. Despite our unique contributions to the vibrancy of local, national, and international creative economies, and the billions of dollars that have been invested in NYC arts and cultural institutions, only a small percentage has trickled down to POC-founded and -led entities. We are advocating for greater visibility and demanding meaningful, systemic investment that leads to greater cultural equity across NYC, starting with those who set public policy and philanthropic priorities in NYC. Learn more, take action, and discover more than 400+ POC-led arts entities on our premier digital map and directory at hueartsnyc.org.
