Setting the Stage for Three Kings Day

For more than 2 decades a children’s theater on the Lower East Side celebrates a major Latin-American holiday, Three Kings Day. But this year, for the first time, the curtain opens on a new production that brings important traditions center stage.

For the first time in two years, Teatro SEA will be staging a new production of Sueño de Reyes/Dream of Kings on January 7-9th & 14-16th.

The Three Wise Men - Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar - tell the story among traditional Latin American Christmas songs of when, by mistake, they did not arrive at Bethlehem of Judea, but at the home of Jesús Rodríguez, a kid in the Barrio Belén of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico.
